
Kaitlan Stewart
Since founding Fenix Film & Television in 2019, Kaitlan has successfully led the company through numerous development and production deals, securing hundreds of thousands of dollars in development funding across the company's slate of projects and millions of dollars in production funding. In 2022, Kaitlan produced the ground-breaking CBC docu-series, PUSH. Now in its second season, PUSH is the first major-network series in Canada to feature a full leading cast of people with disabilities. ONLY UP, a feature-length documentary co-produced by Kaitlan for Super Channel, premiered in January 2024.

A prize-winning graduate of the University of Alberta’s playwriting department, Ian Stewart Barr began his career as junior creative executive for Mind’s Eye Pictures before transitioning into a full-time writer and story editor on various youth shows (Mentors; Mythquest; Renegadepress) and sitcoms (da Kink In My Hair, She’s The Mayor), eventually running a writing room (CSA nominated Tiny Plastic Men II-IV) and showrunning (CSA nominated sketch series, Caution: May Contain Nuts IV&V). He was also Supervising Producer/Writer on the one-hour CBC crime series, Shoot The Messenger.

Kristen brings over a decade of expertise in unscripted television, with extensive experience in development. She has played a pivotal role in creating more than a dozen successful titles for broadcasters such as Discovery, HGTV, History, CBC, APTN, T+E, and OUTtv. Former VP, of Unscripted at Lark Productions, she also co-executive produced the popular international dating series Farming for Love (CTV). Kristen’s love of storytelling fuels her excitement for this new role, where she looks forward to creating more compelling and engaging unscripted content.​

Stephanie Duckett
An aspiring producer, Stephanie joins Fenix with a background education from Toronto Metropolitan University & MacEwan, with a variety of industry experience including both production & post coordinating, production management training, clearances and business affairs. Her goal is to continue contributing to the growth of the film sector within Alberta and Canada, with a focus on creating dynamic content that celebrates diversity, elevates the voices of those who face barriers, and fosters conversations and actions that support positive change.​
